Panda Sweeps Worst Play of the Week! – Week 10

This weeks ‘Worst Play of the Week’ goes to Jockey Daryl Jacob who after riding Lac Fontana home to victory in the Vincent O’Brian County Handicap at the Cheltenham Festival was taken to hospital after his next horse Port Melo crashed through the rails. In a bizarre incident Port Melo broke through the railings before the race had begun throwing Jacob off onto the ground and sending a cameraman scurrying.
Jacob was given oxygen on site and was taken to hospital on a stretcher but conscious. From riding a winner to being thrown off we think this good luck/bad luck story deserves our ‘Worst Play of the Week’
