Panda Sweeps Worst Play of the Week! – Week 5
Saturday, February 8th, 2014
This weeks “Worst Play of the Week” goes to an entire event! The Sochi Winter Olympics has gotten off to a pretty rough start to say the least with journalists who arrived to cover the event finding things a little different to what they are used to, this is despite having a 37 billion euro price tag. From still under construction hotels to no light bulbs it seems Sochi is having a few difficulties hosting the large numbers of people coming to witness and report on the event. Of course the best way to view the often hilarious mishaps people have encountered at the Olympics so far is via the Twitter handle @SochiProblems. The account has become so popular that during the opening ceremony (in which of course they had an issue with the Olympic rings lighting up as planned) the hashtag #SochiProblems was more popular than #TeamUSA or #Putin.
