So what’s going on in the world of A-League?
The news of relevance this week is that young Sydney FC striker Corey Gameiro’s season is over after suffering a serious knee injury in duty for the Olyroos. Corey has been in form for the Sky Blues and is always a threat with the ball at his feet. Arnold will have to do some re-jigging but he has the players to do it.
Wondering what’s on? We’ve got you covered. Here’s this rounds matches and where you might want to put your money.
This Round’s Matches
Round 7
Fri 21 Nov Melbourne Victory v Brisbane Roar
Besart Berisha faces his old team mates in this clash. He said he will pipe it down for this clash but if anybody knows Berisha you would know he has no calm. Expect some controversy to surround him in some capacity. All international players return for both teams this week. With the likes of Milligan and Barbarouses returning for the Victory they will be back at full strength. In Melbourne Panda predicts 2-0 Victory.
Sat 22 Nov Western Sydney v Newcastle Jets
At Paramatta with the WSW faithful chanting and the squad at near full strength with the ever reliable Topor-Stanley and Spiranovic together in the middle of defense Panda expects WSW to get the business done. 1-0 to WSW.
Sat 22 Nov Melbourne City v Sydney FC
Tough gig for City, Sydney are confident and playing well. City are missing star Robert Koren and couple that with the missing running machine Massimo Murdocca and Panda expects Sydney FC to win 2-1.
Sat 22 Nov Perth Glory v Wellington Phoenix
Perth are top of the table and flying. They have no outs this week and they are playing in Perth. Wellington are by no means a bad team and put in a great performance against Adelaide. The Phoenix were hard done by to concede a 94th minute goal giving the win to Adelaide 2-1. It’s time their fortunes turned and time for Perth Glory to drop some points. Panda will call this one a draw 1-1
Sun 23 Nov Central Coast v Adelaide United
CCM lost to Adelaide in the FFA cup Semi-Final recently and will be looking for redemption. Expect to see a change of tactics by the Mariners, they may come out attacking instead of parking the bus. If this happens it will be entertaining and Mariners may surprise United with their competitiveness. At the end of the day Panda expects Adelaide’s quality and form to come through with the goods. 3-1 United.
